Change is something most of us struggle with at one point or another in our lives. It rudely came crashing into my world along with my 40th birthday, changing my life irreversibly forever. I had enjoyed a long and successful career as a Human Resources professional with a world-class Fortune 500 company, but I found myself becoming increasingly restless. I spent more and more of my time handling downsizings, reorganizations and politics, and less time doing the development, communication and conflict resolution work I was skilled in and loved to do. The unexpected and life altering loss of a loved one, the emancipation of my newly-grown children and the onset of some health problems invited me to take a look at my own life in a way I'd never done before.

 

My path became immediately clear as I traded in suits and a briefcase for sweats and a book bag and headed for graduate school. I finished school, internships and licensure in record time. Today I recognize and embrace change for the growth it can bring. I look forward to going to work every day in my solo private practice doing what I love and making a difference in the world one person at a time.
