So, you’re in a relationship with an ADHD person who you love but find impossible to live with–maybe your partner, maybe your child, maybe both.  Or, you are ADHD and you were motivated to find this website after your partner threatened to leave you—and this time you believe it.  Maybe you are wondering if you might be ADHD after trying your best to often get disappointing results.
Therapy, with or without the help of medication, cannot “cure” ADHD.  What therapy can do is help an individual living with ADHD understand how to manage the disorder and create new successes in life.  Learn why certain careers can be great for people living with ADHD and why some careers are guaranteed disasters.  Learn to proactively design ways to focus your attention through things you enjoy doing to avoid self sabotage.

Therapy can also help partners identify what is happening with chaotic interactions to reduce their frustration level.  It can provide coaching and useful tools for parents of ADHD children in order to create a positive parenting experience for a happier home and family.

My decades of experience and education about this subject led me to author my graduate paper, “A Family Systems Approach to Attention Deficit Disorders.”  Since that time, I have helped many ADHD people and their loved ones understand and live with this diagnosis, always focused on finding strengths and building on positives.  Knowledge really is power!
